At Costa Farms, it’s in our DNA to grow, and we’re passionate about plants! We cultivate over 1,500 varieties on 5,200 acres, making us one of the largest horticultural growers globally. Headquartered in Miami, FL, we are a family-run company that proudly partners with Markel Ventures.
Founded 64 years ago by Jose Costa Sr. on just 30 acres, we began growing only tomatoes and calamondin citrus. Through a spirit of innovation, we transitioned to houseplants, quickly introducing rare varieties for consumers to elevate their spaces.
And we're still at it today; with a distinct brand identity in social media as well as garden centers across the nation, our consumers look to Costa Farms not just for beautiful and unique varieties but also for plant care education, DIY ideas, and even entertaining content.
We're dedicated to innovations, and as the 2024 recipient of the Agricultural Environmental Award hosted by FDACS, this extends to our top sustainability practices in the industry.
