In 1964 Henning Hoj started Hoj Engineering and Sales as a “one-man operation” in the heart of Salt Lake City. Though they didn’t make a single sale in the first two years, his diligence and determination kept the company afloat.
But making a lot of sacrifices throughout their lives such as
growing up in the midst of a war, leaving home for Canada
and the United States, joining a religion that would change
their lives forever, and having to say goodbye to relatives and
friends, would be the backbone of their success.

Today, the company operates out of 14 acres of design and development facilities, seven buildings, and over 50 service vehicles. Now called “Hoj Innovations”, it stands strong with more than 155 employees and offices in Utah and Idaho. The company has sold, installed and serviced over 100,000 projects nationally and internationally.
Now with Henning’s two sons, Peter and Tim, at the helm, the company continues to grow and reflect the great legacy he instilled in everyone around him.
