New Horizons is an nationally recognized, accredited, not-for-profit organization that helps people with disabilities achieve their vocational goals through personalized employment programs and services throughout Southeastern MI since 1964.
We have strong collaborations and partnerships amongst the communities we serve such as Michigan Rehabilitation Services, Community Mental Health agencies, school districts, and businesses who we partner with to provide job training and work opportunities. New Horizons provides customizable skill building, job training, and job placement services to individuals facing barriers to employment; with the ultimate outcome of gainful employment.

Purpose
The goal of this agency is to enable persons served to achieve a greater degree of social and vocational independence by providing programs and services which promote full community access. Our objective is to provide programs and services in which we offer choice and options based on the individual needs of the person served. We believe that by providing a conducive environment and using individualized methods of instruction, persons with disabilities can learn appropriate sets of social skills, work behaviors, and specific work skills. We are committed to the “Employment First” philosophy for individuals to seek employment and to work in competitive integrated settings and engage in community life. We promote and advocate that services be integrated in and support full access to the community.
