Purpose
Northwest Michigan Community Action Agency (NMCAA) is a non-profit organization servicing 10-counties throughout Northwest Michigan since 1974. NMCAA has been bridging the gap between poverty and empowered independence. Our commitment to fostering positive change is achieved through a network of community-based programming that begins with child and family development services, financial navigation resources, safe and secure housing opportunities and emergency food distribution programs. The vulnerable populations we serve face a myriad of obstacles which prevent them from attaining their life goals – our role is to provide access to the building blocks that will set them on a solid foundation of self-determination to advance their lives.

NMCAA drives the change that strengthens communities where ALL PEOPLE have opportunities to achieve their full potential.
