Seniors Helping Seniors Bethesda
We are a premium home care agency whose services feel like getting a little help from your friends. We hire mature and sophisticated adults with strong social skills and provide training to ensure that they are knowledgeable and qualified caregivers for the elderly. The result is compassionate care delivered by caregivers who excel at building relationships with clients through genuine engagement and meaningful connections.
We provide a wide array of non-medical care and support services that help keep seniors safe and happy, and our nursing team provides clinical support and oversight. Our emphasis on socialization and friendship enables exceptional companion care and dementia care, and we work well with seniors who are resistant to care. Our services are flexible and can range from a few hours a week to overnight care and even 24/7 care.

Purpose
To ensure the well-being of vulnerable seniors and provide their families with peace of mind knowing that their senior loved ones are well cared for. We believe that the key to good care is friendship. Our commitment to strong client-caregiver relationships is the foundation for everything we do, and we only hire caregivers who have the social skills and compassion necessary to quickly build relationships with clients. We also facilitate relationship building by matching clients with caregivers who have compatible personalities and similar interests.
Vision
To be the premier provider of dementia care and companion care. Experts that help families navigate dementia and other difficulties that come with aging and a trusted resource for families concerned about their senior loved ones.
Mission
We connect seniors in need of assistance with mature and sophisticated caregivers who are viewed as peers rather than hired help. Our clients and caregivers usually become fast friends, and clients typically look forward to caregiver visits.
Additional Culture Details
Most of our caregivers are retirees with a professional background outside of caregiving. Our caregivers include former diplomats, attorneys, business executives, artists, professors, lobbyists, scientists, pharmacists, teachers, Olympians, and pilots. We provide them with ongoing training and support to ensure that they feel confident and capable, and strive to create a supportive and accommodative environment where they feel valued and fulfilled. We also enable caregivers to control their schedule so that they can balance their other commitments, and we make it easy for caregivers to take time when needed.
Values
- Integrity
- Communicate honestly and candidly. This means acknowledging mistakes and learning from them. We encourage open dialogue, and strive to foster a culture where caregivers feel supported as they learn on the job.
